Looks like it has become a trend in Kollywood to have audio launches abroad, the recent examples being Endhiran’s audio launch in Malaysia and Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya’s (VTV) launch in London. The latest to join the bandwagon is the Simbu-Anushka starrer Vaanam, remake of the Telugu hit Vedham.
“This one’s going to be one rocking album!” begins producer-actor Ganesh on the audio of Vaanam. “The audio launch of VTV was a great success in London and we are just planning to cash in on the trend,” adds Ganesh, who had also coproduced VTV.
Revealing more about the audio launch, he says, “The audio launch will be on October 15 and it will a unique one. Yuvan Shankar Raja, the music director of the film, has churned out some scintillating compositions and I’m sure they will rock the charts.”
Yuvan too has confirmed this news online. He had recently tweeted, “We are planning to release the track from Vaanam this month as a single. This single will be out on October 15. It’s sung by Simbu and will top the charts for sure.”
Meanwhile, Ganesh is gung-ho about the film and its commercial prospect. “Since Vaanam is a multistarrer (the star cast includes Simbu, Anushka, Bharath, Vega, Prakash Raj, Saranya, Jayaprakash and Ganesh himself), I’m sure the film will have repeat audience. The story evolves around five people, who meet in the climax of the film, due to unforeseen circumstances. We are planning for a December release,” signs off Ganesh.
