Yuvan not doing Irandam Ulagam

We are really worried posting this article but its our duty to update A-Z about our Yuvan.

In a sensational turn, director Selvaraghavan — who was to team up again with Yuvan Shankar Raja for the music of his Irandam Ulagam — has gone back to young talent G V Prakash!

The Dhanush-Andrea musical love story has already been snapped up by a Mumbai-based corporate. As the film is an intense romantic story, the corporate had initially wanted Selva to team up with Yuvan. The Selva-Yuvan combination rocked big time with the youth in films like Kadhal Kondein, 7G Rainbow Colony and Pudupettai.

During the making of Aayirathil Oruvan, they split and G V Prakash replaced Yuvan as music director. However, Yuvan and Selva patched up recently and the director was present at the music director's first live show in Chennai. Apart from that, Yuvan was also one of the select invitees for Selva's engagement with Gitanjali.

As per sources in the music industry, Selva and Yuvan had buried the hatchet and agreed to work together for Irandam Ulagam. This was the time when Selvaraghavan got the biggest offer of his career — to do Viswaroopam with Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan! The buzz is that Yuvan assumed that Selva will sign him up for this project too but the director, who was making the film in three languages including Hindi, chose to go with Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy.

Selva, who was working on a tight budget for Irandam Ulagam, wanted Yuvan to take a cut in his salary. The grapevine has it that Yuvan preferred to move out of the project as he already had a dozen projects to complete and could not give priority to Selva, who was in rush to complete the project and move over to Viswaroopam. The buzz is that Yuvan and Selva have decided to part amicably with a promise to come together again in future.
