Vijay TV proudly presents an evening of enthralling music in ‘Close up Yuvan Live in Concert’
Tamil film music has evolved over the years — from classical infusions to pop and more recently, rap and international influences! And one name that is synonymous with this evolution is Yuvan Shankar Raja! And now, Vijay TV is all set to celebrate this musician. As part of the celebrations, the channel will air a special series titled Yuvan Isai Raja, a series that capsules the rise of the star and the show, hosted by RJ/actor Shiva, will feature directors like Vishnuvardhan, Selvaraghavan, AR Murugadoss and Linguswamy as well as his siblings Karthik Raja, Venkat Prabhu, PremG, Bhavatharini and Vasuki Baskar. The show airs on weekdays at 8 pm. A promotional music video I’ll be there for you, with music composed by Yuvan himself. Capping these celebrations will be a grand musical concert, in which for the first time on Indian soil, Yuvan will perform live, to a 20,000-strong audience of screaming fans. The concert with the theme ‘Celebrating Young & Fresh Music’ will see singers Shreya Goshal, Shankar Mahadevan, Karthik, Haricharan, Harish Raghavendra, Andrea, Rahul Nambiar, Vijay Yesudas, Tanvi, Suvi, Madhumita, Bela Shende among others belting out some of the chartbusters from Yuvan’s compositions. For the first time, the audience will also get to witness the father-son duo of maestro Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan in a performance together. This high decibel event is all set to take place tomorrow at YMCA Grounds, Nandanam. K Sriram, general manager, Vijay TV says, “We constantly strive to better ourselves. This show is being planned as a world class event and will redefine how the market will look at events henceforth.
