Yuvan's track will rock : Simbhu - TOI

First came the fast-paced Thathai Thathai..., the title track from Manmadhan, which became a big hit. Then, Loosu Penne... (Vallavan) became a blockbuster. And when Silambattam hit the screens, it was Nalamdana... that was on everybody's lips.
Now, the Simbu-Yuvan combination — which has clicked big time — is ready with another number for the actor's upcoming Vaanam. And what's more, this time, the track — titled Evandi Onna Petha — will be released as a single!
"I'm sure it'll rock," says the excited actor, who cannot wait for it to hit the stands, "The minute Yuvan and I sat down to compose for Vaanam, we wanted to ensure that we came up with a track that would stand out and become popular."
For that, the actor-singer and music composer got together for several sessions of jamming in the latter's studio. "Even after the song was ready, we kept working on it repeatedly," says Simbu, "I didn't want it to be like a regular love song and was determined to make it unique. So, we've come up with an international level club mix, which I think is a next-generation track." The special number will have a blend of Tamil and English lyrics, with Simbu crooning the Tamil part and Yuvan delivering the English lines.
Though the actor has worked on albums with other music composers, it's Yuvan who he seems to share the best rapport with. "There are no ego clashes when it comes to Yuvan and me," he says, "He understands what I want and he knows how I envisage the visuals when we get to shooting the song. So, he always comes up with the best possible tunes for the situation. We are more friends when we're working, always discussing and improving the sounds, rather than collaborating like other singer-music composer duos."
Besides shooting for Vaanam, which is a multi-starrer, Simbu is also busy with two other films — Podaa Podi and Vettai Mannan. "Podaa Podi has shaped up very well and is looking fresh," he says, "We start shooting for Vettai Mannan this week. It's a stylish action subject. Besides, there's a nice comedy track in the film too which will be one of its highlights."
